Robin Hood and the Wedding of Doom is a *special* April 2025 production opportunity that offers a fast-paced but FUN education in theatre: Acting, Improv, Stage Combat, Slapstick, and Farce, while working toward a culminating production on the Main Stage. Your child will receive an understanding of and training in acting, improv, and stage combat, they will learn theatrical terminology and etiquette and they will build confidence and explore their creative side in a safe, encouraging and challenging environment. We encourage all levels to join this adventure — one of our core beliefs is that we never stop learning — and our best experiences come from being a part of productions with both new faces and experienced students.

We will produce Robin Hood and the Wedding of Doom as a special opportunity for students to expand their theatrical repertoire with a limited run and a shortened rehearsal schedule. We plan to have 2 performances: one on the Main Stage on Thursday, April 17th and a special performance on Friday, April 18th planned at the Piedmont Botanical Gardens (weather permitting). Because of the shortened rehearsal schedule and the limited run, it is imperative that we know your conflicts upon registering-- and you should not register if you cannot attend BOTH performances.

Everyone who registers and completes the audition/casting process will receive a role, unless your conflicts prove impossible. There will be an audition process where students will audition for roles, even though there is no audition required in order to register. This will be very friendly for those new to theatre, and will happen after our first class.

Please do not register if you have conflicts for more than 2 of the rehearsal dates or ANY of the mandatory rehearsals. The schedule can be found at the following link:
Please note that those participating in Wizard of Oz: Youth edition ARE able to participate in this production!

About the play: Robin Hood and the Wedding of Doom was created in the spirit of English Pantomime, filled with slapstick comedy and larger-than-life characters. This fast and furious one act play is based on the beloved story of Robin Hood with lots of opportunity for improv, parody, and physical comedy.
