We are thrilled to announce that Ami Smith will teach regular classes with DMR Adventures and will direct our Junior Stars troupe.

Ami SmithAmi Smith graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University with a B.A. in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Japanese language and a minor in dance and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She taught ballet at Morgantown School of Ballet and served as choreographer for the dance team at Morgantown High School Band and majorette/color guard instructor for several local middle schools. She also taught Japanese and was a substitute teacher in Monongalia County elementary schools while managing a clothing boutique in downtown Morgantown. After marrying Bryan Smith, she returned to West Virginia University in the School of Medicine and was in the second class to graduate with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree. She has worked as an occupational therapist in Louisa County Schools, Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge and home health in Charlottesville and surrounding counties. Ami was inspired to pursue her love of decorating as she encouraged her daughter, Eliza, to follow her passions and began Embellish Interiors in 2010. She has been creating beauty in everyday spaces in Charlottesville and the surrounding areas with interior and celebration decor and is excited to revisit to her dance roots with DMR Adventures!
