Eean Cochran is twenty-eight years old, originally from Colleyville, TX but currently living in New York City. An alumni of Abilene Christian University where he received his BFA in musical theatre. Cochran has been dancing and tumbling since the age of 6 beginning with Hip-Hop moving into lyrical, contemporary, ballet, jazz, and tap for the last 8 years. Having enjoyed performing from a young age, Cochran has been blessed with many opportunities to dance, sing, and act on various levels and many stages around the world. Cochran’s love for musical theatre has brought him some of his favorite regional and college experiences such as Terk in Tarzan and Judah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (The Legacy Theatre- Atlanta, GA), Andy Lee in 42nd Street and Willard in Footloose (ACU). In the last six years Cochran has enjoyed touring with the Dreamgirls National Tour (Big League), serving as Dance Captain and Swing for Bring It On the Musical International Tour (Troika), the Mamma Mia National Tour (Worklight), Swing in the premiere of A Bronx Tale: A New Musical, at Paper Mill Playhouse with direction by Jerry Zaks and Robert DeNiro, recently played the role of Parker in Disney's Freaky Friday: A New Musical directed by Tony Award Winning director Christopher Ashley at La Jolla Playhouse, Cleveland Playhouse, and Alley Theatre in Houston, TX, and last seen as Mush in Marriott Theatre's Newsies in Lincolnshire, Il. Most recently Cochran completed two and half years in the Touring Company of Hamilton; An American Musical as swing for male ensemble and understudying John Laurens/Philip Hamilton. Cochran’s dance training has blessed him to be able to travel across the U.S., Russia, and Japan. Cochran has worked with Chameleon Contemporary Dance Company, Core Hip Hop Company, and was a founder of Sanctify Hip-Hop Company at Abilene Christian University. Cochran enjoys mentoring and sharing like passion with everyone that he meets. Eean has danced with world renowned choreographers such as Tony Award winning Andy Blankenbuehler and Britney Spears choreographer Andre Fuentes. Appreciating and acknowledging those that have graced the way before him and each teacher he has sat under, Cochran enjoys teaching and coaching as well as choreographing any time he receives the chance. This passion has brought him challenging but wonderful opportunities such as choreographing entire shows, dance showcases, guest choreographing single and multiple dance numbers, teaching workshops and master classes and being dance captain in many productions.
