BOB CHAPEL

Bob Chapel has spent his entire life directing, producing, and teaching musical theatre, as well as many non-musical plays as well. He has directed over 140 shows internationally (Russia and Australia), nationally (including NYC and Los Angeles), at major universities (Michigan, New York Tisch, Cal Arts) and locally where he served on the theatre faculty at UVA for 26 years and directed for the Heritage Theatre Festival for 29 years (20 of those years in which he served as producing artistic director.) He is the recipient of the Virginia Theatre Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. AND, he is the proud former teacher of Melissa Charles!
