DMR Adventures announces new classes for 2015!

10519037_10203487281254831_97130158_oWe are thrilled to announce that we will be offering THREE ongoing classes this starting in January at our new home base, Speak Language Center, in downtown Charlottesville! We will also continue to offer our  Broadway Master Class Series and we’ll be adding more weekend workshops (stay tuned!).

On-Camera Acting
(3rd grade and up)  

Sundays from 5:00-6:30
Cost: $125 for one month or $300 for 3 months
(15% discount for All Stars)

kids on cameraPerfect for the student who is looking to gain experience in front of the camera, this class is a wonderful introduction to on-camera acting.
The students will begin exploring the nuances of performance as they work on commercial copy as well as scenes from television and film.

KIDS BROADWAY ADVENTURE
(Grades K-6 – No Audition Required)
Tuesdays from 5:00-6:15, as well as quite a few weekend rehearsals.
Approximately 30 class/rehearsal hours
There is no audition required for this class

The KIDS BROADWAY ADVENTURE class offers an introduction to musical theatre: singing, dancing, and acting, as well as an opportunity to work on set, prop, and costume design. The class will work towards a culmination production of the musical Winnie the Pooh, Kids, which will be performed for friends, family, and the greater Charlottesville public at Burnley Moran Elementary School.

JR. BROADWAY ADVENTURE (Grades 3-12)
Approximately 45 class/rehearsal hours
There IS an audition (or invitation) required for this class!
Auditions will take place  Saturday, Jan. 24
Your child must be available for the performances on April 24-26

Into-The-Woods-Junior-ColorThe JR. BROADWAY ADVENTURE class offers a fast-paced education in intermediate musical theatre: singing, dancing, and acting, as well as an opportunity to work on set, prop, and costume design. The class will work towards a culminating production of Into the Woods, Jr.  This class is open by audition only, and we are looking for mature performers who can take direction well and work as a team.
